SWANN - À la recherche du temps perdu

This machine prints Marcel Proust's masterpiece " la recherche du temps perdu", where the main character travels around a world, reporting about his forgotten memories and the importance of the process of reminding.

Swann prints the text on thermopaper via halogen lightbulbs, triggered according to a coresponding dot-font. The temperature is also controlled by an old car fan which cools down the lightbulbs. Thermopaper has the physical particularity not to be stable, so once exposed to light, the text left on the fax paper faded as fast as those memories...
