ESS10 | Experimental Sound Artifact

When a movement is detected by one of the 10 PIR sensors, one of the 10 microphones will start recording 10 seconds, before playing back the just recorded on one of the 10 speakers for 10 seconds in a loop, untill a new motion is detected. While overwriting and remixing these sounds over time, ESS10 constantly generates an average of local noises. Like an audible timecapsule that updates in nearly realtime, this artifact could record the sound history of a specific place, as it could follow a person over a life and travel around the world collecting all kind of data.
